Tractor hitch increases safety

0

Danish company Siwi historically has sold a system that allows trailers, muck spreaders and mixer wagons to be connected and disconnected safely from the tractor cab in a matter seconds. Called the Combi-Hitch it is built around a ball hitch to give field and road stability.

When connecting you simply back up to the trailer, hoist up the module and press hydraulic hoses and power connectors together from the driver’s seat. It lowers the risk of injuries because you don’t have to mount and dismount from the cab so no risk of being crushed between machines.

The only thing that was missing was automatic attachment and removal of the PTO. With the latest heavy duty version this is now included and designed for Cat III linkages on tractors up to 400hp.
