A member of the show staff was involved in a fatal accident during the set up for the recent APF forestry machinery exhibition at Ragley Estate, Warwickshire.
A statement from the show’s organisers said the man, who was in his 70’s, received immediate First Aid treatment by the on-site St John Ambulance staff and was subsequently flown to Birmingham Hospital for further treatment. Tragically, despite the best efforts of the doctors, he died.
Police attended the incident and are investigating the full causes of the accident and the Health & Safety Executive have been informed. As this is an ongoing investigation the organisers of APF were unable to comment further.
